Our GMS 8th grade spelling bee was a smashing success with 15 participants spelling into 16 rounds of words! Making it all the way to round 13, taking 3rd place was Landon French with the word 'regales'. Making it all the way to round 16, taking 2nd place was Henry Pratt with the word 'alighted'. Leaving one word standing in the way of 1st place, 'rookery', which was no match for our 2024 GMS champion speller… Ethan Temperley!
Congratulations, Ethan! Good luck as you advance to the Regional Bee held at Augustana in March 2025.
