
It’s December, and time for the annual Geneseo Christmas and Victorian Walk. GMS Swing Choir performed for residents at Alure, singing classics and carols and sharing holiday cheer. Ms. Croft and her team showed amazing talent and spirit on this special day.




Geneseo Middle School hosts our annual 7th grade boys basketball tournament at the GFAC. 12 teams from 9 different schools invaded Geneseo for an awesome day of intense ballin.





Since breaking ground in October, crews at Geneseo High School's new Career and Technical Education Center have focused on subsurface work involving digging, rebar installation, footings and underground utilities. Read more: https://www.geneseoschools.org/article/934041


These 3rd grade students had to put on their detective hats for the "Who kidnapped Mr. Hofer?" drawing conclusions activity yesterday. They had to investigate the crime scene (principal's office) and come to a conclusion on which Southwest staff member kidnapped Mr. Hofer. We are happy to report that the 3rd graders were successful in identifying the kidnapper and Mr. Hofer has been safely returned to Southwest!

5th Grade students celebrating the holiday spirit with Pajama Day at school. Even the teachers got involved in the fun.



4th grade students did a great job presenting on a variety of topics about the American Northeast.




Congrats to Emma Stone and Will Taylor for being nominated as our December Elks Teens of the Month. These two were chosen by staff for outstanding academics, citizenship, and character. Proud of you!

Madrigal Opening Night!




The City of Geneseo is currently looking to hire part-time crossing guards and crossing guard subs to help ensure the safety of our students. Primary duties include assisting children across school crosswalks, managing the steady flow of traffic, and utilizing hand signals and traffic signs on school days. Northside Elementary School celebrated Diabetes Awareness Month. We were able to raise $3000 dollars to donate to JDRF. Congratulations to 5th grade student Allison Bos for helping to organize this event. Mrs. Williamsen's class was the overall winner for the most money raised.



5th grade planned a Thanksgiving Day feast before break. They were “given” $100 to buy ingredients and host their meal. We love the opportunities to make learning meaningful to our students.





Today was the first day of 6th grade library “Boot Camp” where students were taught more specifically by Mrs. Brucher and Mrs. Sager about how to use the catalog system online in order to find the best resources for research or the book they’re most interested in reading.
