Do you have child who will be a senior next year who might be interested in going into teaching?! If so- please check out our new "Grow Your Own Program" and education course we are offering next year! Students can earn up 4 articulated credit hours and will be paired up with a mentor teachers in our district 2x a week!



Congratulations to our January Students of the Month. These boys and girls are leaders in the classroom, treat others with kindness and respect, and do their best each day. We are so proud of each of you.

These Southwest first grade students are enjoying Ag in the Classroom. We are so fortunate to have so many community organizations who support our students!



To celebrate the 100th day of the school year, Millikin's Mrs. Rivera encouraged her students to dress up as if they were 100 years old.
The day's lessons incorporated everything that a typical kindergarten class learns about on a given day, but with everything centered around the number 100.

7th grade Writers Workshop stations in action! Students spent over a week planning, outlining, revising, peer editing, drafting to prepare for a final copy of their Narrative Essay. They are writing the next chapter of a novel that they only read the first two chapters of. Today they are rotating through five stations- description, edit said, spelling, organization, & adjectives- to make notes/ changes for their final draft tomorrow.





This amazing group of girls asked if they could do something special for staff on their birthday and decorate their rooms. They bought all the supplies and have been celebrating with some amazing decorations. Proud of these girls and their willingness to put others first.

We are fortunate to have so many talented young artists having their artwork displayed at the Figge Art Museum in Davenport! Recognition ceremonies will take place on Sunday, February 5.

Along with Geneseo Police Department and its IMPACT team, GHS will welcome Bridgeway, The Gray Matters Collective, Hammond-Henry Hospital and NAMI for a mental health awareness and safety academy on Wednesday, February 8 from 6-8 p.m. at the high school’s Fine Arts Center.

Huge shoutout to our HS Robotics Team for presenting to Northside 5th Grade Students. Students were excited to learn about the possibilities ahead and asked a lot of great questions.





It’s an exciting day at GMS for 8th graders. They are meeting with GHS Counselors to begin Freshman Course Scheduling, and learn about what it means to be a high school student. It’s right around the corner 8th graders, get ready!
Freshman Course Scheduling selections are due February 8th to the GMS Counseling Office.
