GHS Choral Concert Last Night!



Northside Ladders Program has some future engineers in the class. These students decided they wanted to make a bridge and there was no stopping them. They problem solved and collaborated to finish their project. Great work!!

GMS 7th grade students in Mr. Hamilton's art classes made "sticky note murals" that you can check out for a limited time if you're at GMS. They're SUPER COOL!!!

Finding area with toilet paper? Why not! 4th graders in Mrs. Cooper's class were challenged to make the largest area of a rectangle they could using toilet paper!







GMS 7th grade student, Hunter Hoover, was presented with a Maple Leaf Medallion by Mr. O'Dell recently. He was nominated by Mr. Reyes for being a fantastic teammate and leader in Lego League this year displaying TEACH - LEARN - CARE to his teammates, sponsors, classmates, and teachers each day. WAY TO GO HUNTER!!!





Northside Math Club started today. K-2 will meet Mondays and Tuesdays, grades 3-5 will meet Thursdays and Fridays (except this week Wednesday and Thursday) at 7:45. Students had a great time playing Math based games with their friends.

7th and 8th grade bands and choirs welcomed a packed house Concert Hall today for a very merry GMS Holiday Concert. Thanks to our directors Ms. Croft, Mrs. Hawkins and Mrs. Kotovsky, sound and lights Mr. Lord, and to all parents and grandparents for your incredible time and support.









GMS Agriculture Club 8th grade student leaders introduced themselves and shared an invitation to all 6th & 7th grade students to attend their next meeting. Our GMS Ag Club is sponsored by Mrs. VanOpdorp and meets twice a month.









It's been a productive week for our building trades students as some focused on concrete and roof work, while others made and delivered picnic tables and benches for Northside Elementary.




Millikin 4th graders are trying to collect Holiday cards from all 50 states! If you have an extra card or two lying around after you send yours to family and friends, please consider sending one or more to our school so that we can complete our challenge!

3rd Grade Art Class working on making pencils out of cardboard, corn starch, and plaster. Next step is to paint the pencils for their finished product.

GMS 7th grade Language Arts students in class with Mrs. Haars and Mrs. Schmidt completed their Socratic seminar sessions using the argumentative research they completed in classes. The lessons allowed students to research a topic, share their ideas and thoughts, and TEACH and LEARN from their classmates!!!
