
National School Counseling Week 2025 is being celebrated this week to focus public attention on the unique contribution of school counselors within U.S. school systems and how students are different as a result of what school counselors do. GHS students are once again raising funds and awareness through Dance Marathon for Stead Family Children's Hospital in Iowa City. By dining-in at Geneseo's Culver's on Tuesday, February 4 from 5-8 p.m., you can help, as 10% of sales will go towards the GHS Dance Marathon!


Our 3-5 grade students had a great time learning from Dr. Brooks Gibbs on Monday afternoon. Dr. Gibbs preaches how to be emotionally resilient, even when confronted by others who are unkind. A big thank you to David Harris and the Henry County Mental Health Alliance for helping to support this opportunity! One of the pictures is three of our fifth grade students who volunteered to take part in the assembly.

Geneseo High School Baseball will be hosting a youth camp January 2-3 for 1st-8th grade players. The Seth Ernst Memorial Soccer Slam is an annual, indoor soccer tournament. The tournament committee intends to grow and enhance the soccer experience for players and fans at all levels. 5th grade students researched their favorite charity, wrote a persuasive essay, and delivered a speech to their classmates. Students then raised funds with the money raised going to the "winning charities." Students did a great job writing, public speaking, and advocating for a cause close to their hearts.





GHS Softball is thrilled to invite girls in 1st through 8th grades to join them for two days of softball fun and skill-building January 2 and 3, 2025 at the Geneseo Foundation Activity Center (GFAC). The camp fee is $35, which includes a camp t-shirt and invaluable instruction from our very own GHS softball players, dedicated coaches, and talented current and former college players.
