Happy players and a proud Coach Monier had a "Good things come to those who wait" moment when they received and added a Heartland Conference Championship plaque to the GMS trophy case. Though they're all in 8th grade now and were in 7th grade last school year when they wrapped up their hoops season, it's always AWESOME to celebrate a championship effort!!!

The Maple Leaf Marching Band Classic kicked off today with our very own Sound of GMS. 7th and 8th grade bands played the National Anthem, as well as a number of other hit tunes, in a fun and phenomenal performance. High School Bands from across the region play from now until 8pm, come out and support music in Geneseo!

Students in Mr. McAvoy's 8th grade U.S. History classes had the opportunity to give "Peas Porridge" a try during their study of early American colonization. From Mac's expression, eating mashed peas, stale bread, and rendered salt pork for every meal, every day, for months, would've been AWESOME!!!

Huzzah! 6th graders gave a huge welcome to King Verner this morning, the ambassador to Medieval Times. Students are getting ready to begin their Pie Sales Fundraiser, raising funds that allow them to make the trip to Medieval Times in the spring.

What's common across GMS this week 5? No doubt, it's the smiles!

We will never forget.
