A huge thank you to everyone who came out to the Taste of Preschool Event. The Taste of Preschool was the first of four parent opportunities for parents of our preschool students. Families got to enjoy some good food and then got to see a day in the life of a preschooler. Fun!
The Geneseo Police Department will be hosting its annual Christmas toy drive from December 1-9. Drop off new and unwrapped gifts (ages kindergarten to 12th grade) at the police department, Geneseo Middle School, or Reap & Sow Nutrition. Congratulations to our October Students of the Month. These boys and girls have been doing an amazing job at Northside. We are so proud of their positive attitude, hard work, and kindness to others. This group is destined to do amazing things in the future.
In honor of Veterans Day, Geneseo High School will host an assembly on November 11 at 10 a.m. for local vets and Aisle of Flag volunteers. Honorees and their families are invited to arrive at 9:40 a.m. for coffee and drinks and enter through the Performing Arts Center doors. Mrs. Ryerson's class had a great time hanging out with their Kindergarten buddies in Mrs. Vermost's class. They read books to their partner and had a fantastic time. Our Kindergarten students were definitely in awe of their older buddies and enjoyed the time as well.
National Drug Take Back Day: Did you know that prescription drugs thrown in the trash can be retrieved to be abused or illegally sold? Stop by the Geneseo Police Department on October 26 between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. to drop off unwanted or expired medications, pills, patches, vaping devices and cartridges. Every year, the Geneseo Chamber Christmas Walk committee conducts a youth essay contest to see who gets the honor of riding in the parade with Santa Claus and flipping the switch on the town’s Christmas Tree!
