The Geneseo Police Department will be hosting its annual Christmas toy drive from December 1-9. In honor of Veterans Day, Geneseo High School will host an assembly on November 11 at 10 a.m. for local vets and Aisle of Flag volunteers. National Drug Take Back Day: Did you know that prescription drugs thrown in the trash can be retrieved to be abused or illegally sold? Stop by the Geneseo Police Department on October 26 between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. to drop off unwanted or expired medications, pills, patches, vaping devices and cartridges. Every year, the Geneseo Chamber Christmas Walk committee conducts a youth essay contest to see who gets the honor of riding in the parade with Santa Claus and flipping the switch on the town’s Christmas Tree! This year's walk, scheduled for Saturday, December 14, has a theme of "Too Many Santas."
