What a phenomenal last day of 23-24 we had at GMS today. Here's a collage of our celebration assembly and end of year Goodbye wave to the buses. One more thank you to our retirees and their combined almost 100 years of teaching, Chris Bumann, Karna Frerichs, and Tim McComber.

Check out some pics from 8th grade Career Connections and 7th grade Reward Day. Friday is busy as ever up at GMS!

GMS 7th grade art students learned how to card wool and create a wet felted wool vessel. They layered it their wool around a balloon to form it in a water bath. Once it dried, they could sew or decorate it.

One of our favorite spirit days at GHS: "Anything But a Backpack Day." Students were encouraged to bring their school supplies in anything other than a traditional backpack. Lots of creative and humorous alternatives!

Congrats to our weekly GHS "Difference Makers". These students were selected by our staff as students that have a positive impact in their classrooms.

Stomp and Launch! It's Rocket day at GMS as our science and tech classes begin their final engineering and velocity labs and projects.

The weather was perfect and the students had an absolute blast. A huge shoutout to everyone who made the 3-5 grade field day a huge success. It doesn't get much better than this.

Thanks to the generous giving of the Geneseo Education Foundation (GEF), students in Mr. Eaker's 7th grade ELA Ingenuity class programed and flew drones through an innovative obstacle course today. Research, Engineering, Design and Aviation were all on display today at GMS.

We honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country, and we remember their courage, integrity and selflessness. #MemorialDay

Thursday was Orientation day for the class of 2031 up at GMS. We had an unbelievable time singing, eating, listening and laughing with our incoming 6th graders. Kids enjoyed some intense field day activities, then headed to GMS to practice locks, take tours of the school, have some Q&A with 8th grade leaders, and eat a "big kid" middle school lunch. We can't wait for 2024-25 so we can welcome these amazing students to GMS!

GMS 7th grade math teacher, Ms. Katherine Wohrley, was recently honored with a Maple Leaf Medallion presented by Dr. Brumbaugh. Two students nominated Ms. Wohrley for her dedication to helping them better understand new math concepts. Congratulations to you for your display of TEACH - LEARN - CARE of the highest order at GMS each day Ms. Wohrley!!!

As our 6th graders head out on our annual trip to Medieval Times today, here's some pics of their catapult engineering and launching in science classes this past week.

Congratulations to our GMS MAP Accelerator reward winners for Semester 2. These students practiced math skills and showed growth at a high level all semester long, receiving McDonalds or Walmart gift cards for their grit and success.
