
8th graders visited Geneseo High School today for their first welcome as incoming Freshman and the class of 2029. Students were introduced to GHS by Principal Tom Ryerson and his leadership team. They also got a tour of the building by Link Crew student leaders.








AWESOME day of track & field for our GMS athletes as they host the IESA sectional meet at GHS. Several GMS athletes have already qualified for the state meet next weekend at the halfway point. WAY TO GO athletes and thank you to all of the coaches, volunteers, and workers!!!









One of our favorite days of the year is "Anything But Backpack Day" at GHS! We had some creative ideas again this year!

It was a big day up at GMS today. Elementary field day, 6th grade trip to Medieval Times, 5th grade Orientation, ELA Socratic Seminar, Pixel Murals in Art, and a fantastic No Tarty Party for students just doing it right every day. Finishing strong, We Are... GMS!











Congratulations to Mrs. Kayla Shehorn - the newest recipient of a Maple Leaf Medallion. Mrs. Shehorn was nominated by Maura Hamilton for her interactive lessons and her ability to use humor and relate so well to her students!


It's a beautiful evening at the GHS Stadium for the 66th Annual All Unit Band Concert. Wonderful music, top performer awards, and a phenomenal finale to a great year of music in Geneseo.










One more big Thank You to all our incredible educators during this Teacher Appreciation Week. Geneseo has the best, truly the best, educators in the world. We so appreciate the PTA, Parents, and GEF provided breakfasts, treats, ice cream and lunch this week, thank you.










GMS 8th grade students, Bella Lewis, Henry Pratt, and Annika Brumbaugh were recently honored and awarded by the Geneseo Rotary Club for their outstanding U.S. Constitution essays.


Congrats to our GHS Students of the Week! These students were recognized by staff for the positive impact they have in the classroom. We also would like to thank the senior class for the picnic tables they purchased for our students to enjoy during lunch.

35 students, staff and parents of GMS gathered today to make the walking track and school beautiful for the summer of 2025. Thank you to all who labored hard for hours pulling weeds, laying mulch, and giving back to their community.











U.S. Congressman Darin LaHood visited Geneseo Middle School to celebrate the successful completion of our Constitution Unit in 8th grade U.S. History. Mr. Mitchell's and Mr. McAvoy's students joined our 16th District Congressman for about 40 minutes of inspiration and Q&A.







Mr. Johnson, GMS Assistant Principal, joined students in 7th Geography today to present his experiences while traveling in Western Europe. He connected the geography of the region with history and travels. Great job Mr. J.
