5th grade students did a great job last week practicing mock interviews as part of their "BizTown" experience. Students will take part in a hands-on simulation where they develop an understanding of basic business practices and can practice essential "soft skills."

First grade students recently celebrated the 100th day of school by dressing up and a variety of activities. Meanwhile, 5th grade celebrated 1000 day! They have been in school since the beginning of Kindergarten for 1000 days!










Sheila Puls, Megan VerStraete and Melanie Rice were recently awarded Maple Leaf Medallions by Dr. Brumbaugh for their efforts in setting up special education students with various opportunities outside of the classroom. Congratulations to Sully Jackson, a Millikin 5th grader who was recognized at Thursday's Board of Education meeting and awarded a Maple Leaf Medallion for his efforts in mentoring a fellow student.
"Sully was not afraid to ask hard questions or explain how students should behave at Millikin," explained Millikin Principal Philip Moe. "Sully played a huge role in helping this student turn things around."
