GMS 8th grader, Faith Kuster, is now a Red Cross Junior Volunteer through the Services to the Armed Forces division. Sunday, she attended an Army Nation Guard pre-deployment event in Springfield with her dog Athena, providing comfort and care to the soldiers and their families.

The Geneseo School District will be hosting a week-long Summer Brain Camp Experience at Millikin Elementary from June 2-6 for any current 2nd-7th grade students. This experience is led by the amazing educators in our district who are eager to inspire and extend learning and enrichment for our students. The Lady Leafs basketball program will host summer camps from June 2-5 for elementary and middle school students. The camps will feature current and former Geneseo players, and cost $60 per camper with $10 off for each additional family member. Our Annual Community-wide book read wrapped up Tuesday night with a finale event for "Lasagna Says I Love You." Families from all over the community joined the On the Same Page (OSP) team for a potluck of traditional family recipes. It was phenomenal fellowship, and absolutely delicious.





Black Hawk College's youth programs help students meet new friends, explore their interests and develop their talents! The Smith Studio and Gallery is currently hosting Geneseo High School's annual Junior and Senior Art Show. The gallery is located at 124 South State Street in Geneseo and the show will be displayed until April 26. Gallery hours include Tuesday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and a special reception for the exhibiting students will take place on Wednesday, April 16 from 5 - 7 p.m.

All That Jazz! GHS and GMS Jazz and Swing Choirs and Bands put on a phenomenal show tonight in the Annual Geneseo Jazz Show.





Mr. Mathew took the Polar Plunge today and helped raise a lot of money for Geneseo Schools Special Olympics. And 3 top students got their reward for raising huge funds for Jump Rope for Heart and the American Heart Challenge. #BeLEAFs





Students at GMS just finished their IL Assessment of Readiness (IAR) for this spring. To celebrate their hard work, all students who met expectations for taking their time and doing their best were given "GigaBrain" reward tickets for free time with their friends.
