GMS Track and Field Athletes took a Walk of Champions this afternoon as they celebrate 3 Sectional Championships and get ready to head to the IESA State meet this Friday and Saturday. Good luck at State! #BeLEAF

Soon to be Freshman visited GHS this afternoon for their first introduction to the big show. GHS admin, along with some incredible student Link Crew leaders, welcomed incoming Freshman and took them on a tour of halls and classes of GHS.

It was a hot but awesome day up at the GMS IESA Sectional Track & Field meet today. 7th and 8th girls, and 8th boys, all won their Sectional in a tough field of 16 teams. Our 7th boys just missed 1st by a single event. Good luck to all our athletes as we head to State next week!

It's been a great week at the middle school, with our current 6th graders taking a trip to Medieval Times, and incoming 6th graders joining GMS for a full day of Orientation with locks, tours, lunch, and more. 6 days left in 25-26, and we can't wait for the start of 26-27!

Congratulations to our GMS and Geneseo Rotary Club U.S. Constitution Essay Award Winners. These young leaders wrote essays that described what the constitution means to them and their families, receiving a scholarship and honors for their passion and patriotism!

It was a beautiful May night in the GHS Stadium as we hosted the 67th Annual All Unit Band Concert. From phenomenal music, to honors and awards, with a little 250th US Anniversary Stars and Stripes mixed in. Congratulations to all our Seniors and Award winners.

What a sunny, cool and just beautiful morning we had for the annual GMS Grounds Day! 30+ students, parents and staff showed up to pick up weeds, clean up brush, and lay mulch, making GMS look truly outstanding. Thank you to all the volunteers, and especially to Mrs. DePauw and Miss Wendy, for serving your school and community.

The 2026 Lady Leafs Basketball Camp will run June 8–10 at the GHS main gym, offering fun, skill-building sessions for girls entering 3rd–8th grade. Elementary campers will meet from 8:30–10:00 a.m., and middle school campers from 10:00–11:30 a.m., with a focus on ball handling, shooting, teamwork, and game play led by experienced coaches and players. GMS hosted its annual Career Fair for 8th grade students as they soon prepare to enter the workforce. We welcomed around 15-20 local businesses and community organizations, who talked with and mock interviewed students as they learned about the various careers available to them in the coming years. Thank you to our teachers and counselors for organizing this event, and to our business guests who did an amazing job bringing the workplace to life!

A huge Congratulations to our very own Hailey Olson on her winning the IESA Scholar Attitude Award, one of only fifteen recipients state-wide. Hailey represents the very best academics, character, and student athlete leadership that Geneseo has to offer. Way to go Hailey!

In classrooms across GMS today, students and staff have created a learning storm. Mr. J hosted an engaging Geography workshop on his trip to Western Europe, and 7th ELA students debated the Exon Valdez man-made disaster in an intense Socratic Seminar.

The Machine Shed was hoppin up at the GMS tonight. 200+ students danced the spring night away to some oldies and newbies. Make it a great weekend everyone!

What a great week at GMS! Contig Math club was packed and intense, cake baking in FACS was both creative and delicious, and our incoming 6th grade families joined us for their first glimpse at middle school.
