Geneseo High School Baseball will be hosting a youth camp January 2-3 for 1st-8th grade players. The Geneseo Elementary Lego League Team competed at the First Lego League qualifier competition on Sunday, December 15th at John Deere Headquarters in Moline. Ten team members, representing all 3 elementary schools worked for four months to build and program an autonomous robot to complete as many missions as possible within a two and a half minute time slot. The students also completed research to solve a real problem in the oceans and presented their ideas and their robot design at the competition. At every stage of the competition, the team improved their score throughout the day. Congratulations to our team members: Luke Schluenz, Rachel McGee, and Lilah Thompson (Southwest), Merick Russelburg, Maura Hamilton, Owen Russell, Gwen Simosky, and Walter Newburg (Millikin), and Averie Simpson and Brock Oberle (Northside).
The Seth Ernst Memorial Soccer Slam is an annual, indoor soccer tournament. The tournament committee intends to grow and enhance the soccer experience for players and fans at all levels.
