The Geneseo Elementary Lego League Team competed at the First Lego League qualifier competition on Sunday, December 15th at John Deere Headquarters in Moline. Ten team members, representing all 3 elementary schools worked for four months to build and program an autonomous robot to complete as many missions as possible within a two and a half minute time slot. The students also completed research to solve a real problem in the oceans and presented their ideas and their robot design at the competition. At every stage of the competition, the team improved their score throughout the day. Congratulations to our team members: Luke Schluenz, Rachel McGee, and Lilah Thompson (Southwest), Merick Russelburg, Maura Hamilton, Owen Russell, Gwen Simosky, and Walter Newburg (Millikin), and Averie Simpson and Brock Oberle (Northside).

A huge thank you to everyone who came out to the Taste of Preschool Event. The Taste of Preschool was the first of four parent opportunities for parents of our preschool students. Families got to enjoy some good food and then got to see a day in the life of a preschooler. Fun!
